RIM lanceert BlackBerry Business Cloud Services voor Office 365

Research in Motion heeft maandag BlackBerry Business Cloud Services voor Office 365 gelanceerd. De nieuwe service maakt het mogelijk om BlackBerry smartphones te beheren via Microsoft Office 365.

BlackBerry Business Cloud Services is voor abonnees van Microsoft Office 365 zonder extra kosten verkrijgbaar. Deze service, die gehost wordt door Research In Motion (RIM), koppelt Microsoft Exchange Online rechtstreeks aan BlackBerry smartphones voor mobiele toegang tot gesynchroniseerde e-mail, agenda, contactpersonen, taken en memo's. Ook Exchange Online wordt toegankelijk voor BlackBerry smartphones.

Zowel RIM als Microsoft laten in een reactie weten blij te zijn met de koppeling van de diensten. “The availability of BlackBerry Business Cloud Services is great news for Office 365 and BlackBerry customers who want to get the maximum benefit from these two business collaboration services.” aldus Julia White, Senior Director van Microsoft's Exchange Product Management Group.
